Hope in a Time of Joy
“There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.”
– Martin Luther
Congratulations in this exciting time! While a wedding is a legal matter, the covenant of marriage is also a spiritual estate. By exchanging vows in this manner, we acknowledge the God-given gifts of companionship and love, and promise to share the strength and joy that help build the entire human family.
In the church we surround the exchange of vows with prayer and blessing, though the settings and details of the ceremony vary widely. As a ministry of Hope, we have the option of using our sanctuary for the service, though the pastors also are open to discuss other venues.
At Hope, we aim to be caring and comprehensive in this dynamic time. The Pastors offer pre-marital counseling, service planning, and officiating. Our church musician Jim Fister serves as a consultant and leader in music. Our wedding coordinator David Best organizes the wedding attendants and Hope’s Wedding Policies.
If you are interested in marriage at Hope, please contact the parish office by phone number (724-776-3141) or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the marriage process. Please contact us no less than three months before an intended wedding.
